In this course, students will learn code fundamentals in JavaScript: variables, conditionals, methods, loops, and callbacks.

Intro to JavaScript is a 6 week beginner coding class for middle and high school students who identify as femme or female. This includes students who were not assigned female at birth and those who identify as femme, gender fluid, or gender nonā€conforming.

Participants do NOT need prior coding experience OR a computer of their own to take this class.

This course is a prerequisite for the winter/spring class, JavaScript Video Games, an intermediate game development class, where you will learn to build six different video games like the one below.

Volunteers work one-on-one with the students in the classroom. Volunteers should know JavaScript, or be willing to learn the curriculum.
