In this course, students will learn code fundamentals in ruby: variables, conditionals, methods, loops, and classes and objects.
Intro to Ruby is a 6 week beginner coding class for middle and high school students who identify as femme or female. This includes students who were not assigned female at birth and those who identify as femme, gender fluid, or gender non‐conforming.
Participants do NOT need prior coding experience OR a computer of their own to take this class.
This course is a prerequisite for the summer class, SheQL, an advanced database/web application class.
Amanda Martinez is the teacher for the class, and Kelsey Campbell is our facilitator.

Volunteers work one-on-one with the students in the classroom. Volunteers know ruby, or are willing to learn the curriculum.
